Product Introduction

Monofilament Woven Geotextile

Woven from single-strand monofilament yarns, this construction produces a fabric with well-defined, stable openings between the yarns. Those consistent openings give predictable filtration behaviour and high flow, which is why monofilament is specified where the fabric must pass water continuously without blinding.

Strengths

  • Stable, well-defined openings for predictable filtration
  • High water flow rate through the fabric plane
  • Resists clogging and blinding in service
  • Resistant to UV, chemical substances and micro-organisms

Function

  • Filtration
  • Separation
  • Drainage

Applications

  • Shoreline and streambank revetments
  • Filtration beneath riprap and armour stone
  • Coastal and marine structures
  • Subsurface drainage systems
